The ESS (Engage Shift System) combines a 6-speed gearshift experience with clutch pedal with a fully automatic transmission that enables ultra-fast and smooth gear changes. The driver can choose their preferred driving style and switch between modes at any time. With the manual gearshift and clutch, the driver experiences an unparalleled connection to the vehicle – every nuance can be felt when the rubber meets the road.
In automatic mode, the driver can sit back, relax and enjoy seamless shifting and effortless performance – if required, the gear ratios can even be changed to create different driving experiences. The Koenigsegg CC850 is one of the few selected megacars with a power-to-weight ratio of 1:1 – it weighs just 1,385 kg and delivers 1,385 hp from its V8 biturbo engine.
This offers the driver a powerful blend of pure performance and impressive vehicle dynamics. The car is agile and nimble in bends and impresses with first-class acceleration and top speed on the straights.
The original Chronocluster was developed for the Koenigsegg CCX and offered an innovative way of presenting important information to the driver in an appealing way. We are proud to introduce the new, second generation of the Chronocluster in the CC850.
The new Chronocluster combines all important vehicle performance data in one multifunctional dial. The engine speed (rpm) can be read on the outer edge, the vehicle speed is shown via a precise display on a central ring, and the turbo boost pressure display is located in the center of the cluster.
Everything has a classic design, always ensuring that all important information can be seen at a glance.
The CC850 is a double tribute from Koenigsegg: it celebrates 20 years of vehicle production as well as the 50th birthday of company founder and CEO Christian von Koenigsegg.
The CC850 is a tribute to the most important car in Koenigsegg’s history,“said Christian von Koenigsegg.” The CC8S made us famous and led us to success. As we celebrate 20 years of vehicle production and my 50th birthday, it was the right time for us to introduce the CC850 as a celebration of our roots.
As with the iconic Koenigsegg ONE:1 from 2014, the CC850 also achieves a power-to-weight ratio of 1:1 with 1,385 hp and an unladen weight of 1,385 kg.
